"I wanted to tell you all how pleased I was with the performance given by Mark Barreres and friends at my in-law's 50th anniversary party near Harrisonburg, VA this past summer. I live in Arizona but volunteered to find live music for the party. I found Mark's name by searching the internet for bluegrass music in the Shenandoah Valley. That search led me to a music store in Winchester and the owner suggested I post my needs on their website. Mark saw my notice and contacted me. I was looking for live music that would cover the taste's of people ranging in age from 4 to 80! Well, these guys really came through and gave the music the added of flavor of Virginia. We like to dance and the music was also perfect for that. Mark started out as a solo DJ for the evening then was joined by Rick Harris Jr., lead singer and guitar player, Doyle Schaeffer on drums and Randy Poehler on harmonica for the live music portion. Mark even helped me out before I booked them by providing samples of their music through the internet.
