Lake George is 32 miles long, 3 miles wide at its widest point, with a maximum depth of 195 feet. It offers some of the best recreational boating opportunities in the Northeast.

If it’s green, let it grow! Keep your feet and your tents off growing vegetation. Healthy island vegetation holds the soil in place and prevents erosion. Once an inch of soil is lost, it can take centuries to replace!

The Lake George Island Campers Association is a non-profit organization founded in July 2010 by and for people who enjoy the state-owned Lake George islands and the tradition of Lake George camping. We promote responsible camping and island stewardship to ensure future generations will be able to enjoy the same scenic vistas and crystal clear water. The Lake George islands are a national treasure, and we want to connect campers who agree.
