Joe Enroughty And
His Royal Virginians have been serving Richmond area
dancers for quite some time, and now the orchestra is
travelling all across Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina,
and even parts of West Virginia. This 12-piece big band
complete with two vocalists, is catching on fast, and
dancers are finding it very hard to sit still!
If you are looking for a big band that plays all the
classic hits of The Big Band Era, but also has the
ability to play music from nearly every decade since, you
have come to the right place. The Royal Virginians are
today's premier dance band playing danceable music at its
best.
Someone once said: "I haven't had this much fun in a
very long time..." That person was dancing to the
music of The Royal Virginians. With inviting, danceable
arrangements of music from the past 100 years, this band
is the best musical organization to hit Virginia in a
very long time.

"The
band mixes Americana, Rock and a laid back blues vibe in
a way that puts them in the NewGrass camp but they
certainly have their own distinctive sound. Also, as is
often the case in this sub-genre, there is a definite
Grateful Dead influence. The songwriting is superb with
catchy tunes and vocal harmonies. These guys certainly
deserve more props than they are receiving." - Chip
Frazier, Amber Waves of Twang.
