Vintage Guitar Pickup Repair We fix breaks in the coil wire and or replace coil wire . Replace parts and wax pot or whichever way the factory originally did it . We get the resistence of the pickup as close to factory specs as possible . Which is determined by the number of wounds of wire the bobbin has on it. Wax potting a pickup is the best method and cheapest to use . But can be dangerous if precautions are not taken . The pickup is then dipped in the wax at about 150 degrees /F for about 10 to 15 minutes .Then let it cool off peel off the excess with clean towl .
